On July 2 2008, Seattle Mayor Greg Nickels and City Attorney Tom
 Carr announced a settlement with the Professional Basketball Club.


"In exchange for terminating the lease two years early,
Mr. Bennett has agreed to a settlement package with
a payment of up to $75 million to the city of Seattle.

The NBA agreed that a renovated KeyArena can be
a competitive NBA facility."
